A popular New Year's Eve party held in a town centre has been cancelled.
Organisers of The Party on The Pantiles event in Tunbridge Wells, which sees hundreds of people attend, have axed it this year.
It comes as multiple events, parties and shows around Kent are being postponed or cancelled over rising Omicron cases in the UK.
The party was being ran by The Pantiles and The Tunbridge Wells Hotel.
A short statement from The Pantiles said: "It is with much regret that the New Year’s Eve event planned for The Pantiles has been cancelled.
"We apologise for any disappointment this may cause, but thank you for your understanding.
"We hope the event will return for 2022."

A spokesman for the hotel added: "Although it’s with great regret that this year’s Party on The Pantiles is cancelled, we’ll be more than making up for it with our brilliant New Year’s Eve event right here at the hotel.
"Enjoy three seasonal courses from our exclusive menu, superb liquid refreshment, and a great atmosphere in an environment that’s as safe as it is stunning."
Set to be held between 7pm until after midnight the event promised to offer DJs, music, bands, bars and "bundles of fun".
