A MAN and a woman have died after the car they were travelling in overturned.

The accident occurred in Tunbridge Wells at 12.15am on Saturday when the Fiat Bravo overturned in Longfield Road.

The two victims, both in their 20s and from Tunbridge Wells, were passengers in the car and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other people, a man and woman, were taken to Kent and Sussex hospital.

The male driver was treated for minor injuries and the woman passenger admitted with more serious injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the incident and re-opened shortly before 8am on Saturday morning
