A Tunbridge Wells woman who forgot her flat keys on a night out, damaged the property's front door and smashed a window to gain entry.
Harriet Kelly, of of Greggs Wood Road, stood before Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Wednesday charged with damaging a door belonging to Town Country Housing.
The 26-year-old admitted the offence and said she only did it because she was trying to get her belongings from the flat.
Describing it as "stupid behaviour" during the hearing, Kelly said she couldn't explain why she acted in such a way during the incident in April.
"I was simply trying to gain access to my flat but didn't have my keys. I was drunk and it was stupid. All my belongings were in there," she said.
Kelly, who was unrepresented throughout the hearing, was also charged with assaulting a police constable after she was arrested for criminal damage.
She denied the assault charge and will return to Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, September 9 for her trial.
For the criminal damage matter, magistrates fined Kelly £55. She must also pay £85 costs, £20 victim surcharge, £110 criminal courts charge and £100 compensation to Town Country Housing.
