Daniel Bradley continued his winning form with victory at the Tunbridge Wells Half-Marathon, writes Alan Newman.

There were 1,565 finishers in the 32nd running of the event, with Alice Heather-Hayes of hosts Tunbridge Wells Harriers first home in the women’s race.

Bradley (1hr12min56sec) added to recent wins at 10k in Ashford and 5 miles at Tenterden, with team-mate Daniel Watt (1:15.07) and Martin Proctor (Durham University, 1:15.23) more than two minutes in arrears at the finish line.

Impressive times were also set by local runners Julian Rendall (Tonbridge, 1:15.45), James Mason (Sevenoaks, 1:16.14) and Tonbridge athletes Dan Sims (1:17.21) and Greg Cole (1:19.34).

Heather-Hayes (W35, 1:22.33) finished well clear of a great battle between Paddock Wood’s top-ranked W45 masters, Tina Oldershaw (1:24.51) and defending champion Maria Heslop (1:25.00).

Claire Day (Paddock Wood, 1:28.49) added another personal best to her collection in seventh place and other prominent local club runners included Paddock Wood’s Emma Hollands (W40, 1:33.42) and Elise Rendall (W35, 1:34.59), Jillian Holford (W40 TWH, 1:39.17) and Sharon Barnett (W40 Maidstone Harriers, 1:39.26).
