Roman Campbell continued his goalscoring form with a brace as play-off chasing Punjab raced into a 3-0 half-time lead.

But Rusthall made it seven league wins in a row – a run stretching back to November – with four goals in eight minutes at the death.

Yassin Fares scored an 80th-minute penalty before Charlie Clover made it 3-2 two minutes later. On 84 minutes, Kalani Barton equalised and four minutes later the hosts were 4-3 ahead thanks to Barton’s second of the afternoon.

It was also an afternoon to remember for young Larkfield & New Hythe striker Harvey Welford – who scored all four goals in their 4-0 home win over Stansfeld.

Welford completed his treble in first-half stoppage time and added his fourth early in the second half.

Stansfeld finished with 10 men after Billy Marsh saw red in the final minute.

Leaders Faversham Town were held to a goalless draw at Glebe.

Fisher are up to second as goals in either half from Kesna Clarke and Courtney Barrington sealed a 2-0 home victory over Bearsted.

Whitstable’s progress into the last eight of the FA Vase is not proving a distraction as they posted their second win in a week.

After winning at Fisher in midweek, the Oystermen beat Tunbridge Wells 4-0 at The Belmont with young forward Ronald Sithole bagging a hat-trick. Player-boss Jamie Coyle was also on target.

Hollands & Blair moved six points clear of the relegation places following a 3-1 home victory over bottom side Lydd.

Joe Thomas’ opener for Blair was cancelled out by Ryan Philpott before half-time. A Murisiku Batula penalty and Devonte West won it for the hosts after the break.

Lordswood remain in the bottom two after 10-man Corinthian scored an injury-time goal in a 2-1 victory.

Oscar Housego put Corinthian ahead in the first half before Matthew Holness’ leveller. Jack Billings saw red for the visitors but Hugo Taylor scored the winner on 92 minutes.

Snodland’s match at home to Holmesdale and Sutton Athletic’s clash with Kennington were both postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

Canterbury are six points clear in Division 1 following a 2-0 win at Halls courtesy of goals from Mo Cham and Rob Lawrence.
