An empty caravan was destroyed in a fire believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
An adjacent timber-framed stable-block, measuring around 15m by 12m was also partially destroyed.
Firefighters got the call to the blaze in Shenley Road, Smarden, at 8.20pm on Saturday.
Crews from Maidstone, Cranbrook, Tenterden and Ashford attended as well as a water unit from Larkfield.
The firefighters supplemented water supplies by running a pump from a nearby pond.
At its height, 20 firefighters were tackling the blaze. The flames were out by 11.16pm, but some crews remained on site till 12.10am to ensure there was no flare-back.
There was no reports of injuries to either people or animals. Both stables and caravan are believed to have been empty at the time.
The site was not connected to Headcorn Aerodrome.
