Boy, 14, in London hospital after serious collision on A268 Rye Road, Hawkhurst

A 14-year-old-boy was taken to hospital in a serious condition after a crash in Hawkhurst.

The accident happened yesterday evening around 8.50pm on the A268 Rye Road.

A Jeep Cherokee was travelling near the junction with Queens Road towards Sandhurst when the collision happened.

The teenage pedestrian was taken to a London hospital where his condition is still described as serious.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses.
