A house has been damaged after a car ploughed through a garden fence and into the side of it.
The black Nissan veered off the road at the junction of Wheeler Street and Oak Lane in Headcorn at around 6.15am today.
The crashed car wedged in the front garden of the house in Headcorn
Emergency services were called to the scene to find the stranded vehicle.
A wooden fence and the side of the home were damaged in the process.
No injuries have been reported yet, but one witness said the driver, who is thought to have skidded on ice on the road, was left "shaken" by the incident.
A neighbour opposite the crash site said she heard a "whooshing and then a rattling sound" which sat her dog barking.
The speed limit is 30mph but she said drivers rarely stuck to it, especially those coming round the bend from the Biddenden Road direction.
Another neighbour, Michael Spencer, 68, said: "It's ridiculous how fast some people drive down the road.
"People do 50 or 60mph and dont slow down after coming over the bridge. It's very dangerous.
"Not so much during the rush hour, because there's too much traffic, but late at night or early morning."
However he conceded there had been a heavy frost that morning and the driver may have been caught out unexpectedly by ice on the road.
Mr Spencer said: "The gritting here is normally very good, but I didn't see or hear any gritters last night."
He said there had been a similar incident just before Christmas, when an ambulance driver on her way home at the end of a late shift lost control as she pulled out of the junction with Smarden Road and went into the fence of another home.
Fortunately, it was late at night, and no-one was injured.
He said: "The speed is a worry, especially as we often have two small grandchildren visiting.
"It was a shock when I saw that car stuck in the middle of the house just 200 yards from us."
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at around 6.15am on Monday, January 10, regarding a report that a car had collided with a property in Wheeler Street, Headcorn.
"Officers attended the scene where no injuries were reported."
