A man was trapped after a floor collapsed in a warehouse at an industrial site in Marden.
The accident happened in a depot at Claygate Distribution in Pattenden Lane at around 9.40am today.
The warehouse was being used to store sanitaryware and bathroom accessories when a mezzanine floor gave way and trapped a man.
He is understood to have become wedged between some boxes as approximately 30 tonnes of pallets fell down.
Five fire appliances, a specialist technical rescue team, police, paramedics and an air ambulance team worked along side on-site staff to rescue the man who was taken to Tunbridge Wells hospital with a suspected fractured wrist and cut to his face.
Specialist airbags were used to stabilise the pallets above the man and he was freed from the wreckage. Firefighters left the scene at 11.09am.
The incident has been referred to the health and safety team at Maidstone Borough Council.
A spokesman said it was "business as normal" for the firm.
In 2013 the bathroom wholesaler opened a new 30,000 sq ft warehouse extension on the site.
The firm, which was established in 1990 by brothers Mel and Andrew Streek, now has a total of 145,000 sq ft in Pattenden Lane.
Station manager Matt Deadman said: “All agencies worked extremely hard to rescue the man, securing the heavy pallets surrounding him to allow safe access. It was a very positive outcome in that the man was fortunately able to walk to safety with what are believed to be minor injuries.”
