Officers investigating a spate of distraction burglaries have arrested a man.
On Wednesday, August 23, and Monday, August 28, a man called on elderly residents in Hawkhurst and Cranbrook offering gardening work and to sharpen knives and tools.
On both these occasions, victims reported wallets and cash stolen.
More incidents have been reported in and around Tunbridge Wells borough during August and September.
Yesterday, police arrested a 38-year-old from Hastings on suspicion of burglary, and he remains in police custody.
Police have urged residents to call 101 or 999 if anything seems suspicious, and have reminded people to never pay doorstep callers in cash.
