A man has been arrested following a “paedophile sting” carried out by an online group of vigilantes.

The group, who live streamed the sting to thousands of followers, confronted the man in Eldon Way, Paddock Wood, after alleging he sent explicit content to a 14-year-old decoy.

Shadow Hunters UK can be seen restraining the man while he protests his innocence. The video has now been viewed 99,000 times on Facebook Live.

Police were called on Wednesday and attended at 8.25am and arrested a 30-year-old man from the Chatham area on suspicion of attempting to incite a child into sexual activity.

He is currently on bail pending further inquiries until January 24.
