Film fans can watch blockbusters under the stars when the curtain goes up on an open-air cinema at Bewl Water.

Three hit movies will be screened on the shores on the lake, just south of Lamberhurst, over one glitzy weekend.

It opens with Dirty Dancing on Friday, September 16, followed by Shutter Island on Saturday, September 17, and Back to the Future on Sunday, September 18.

Food, drink, and plenty of popcorn, will also be available from the Waterfront Café.

A spokesman said: "Our open air cinema is set in the stunning surrounds of the reservoir on our 800 acre country park. Nothing beats watching a movie under the stars and close to the water."

Tickets cost £11 per person and gates open at 6.30pm each evening.
