Two men are in custody after a brawl broke out at Staplehurst train station yesterday.

British Transport Police were called to a disturbance in the station car park just after 3pm.

On arrival officers arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of making threats to kill and a 49-year-old man on suspicion of affray.

The fight broke out in Staplehurst station's car park (3549400)

A spokesperson from BTP said: "Anyone who was at Staplehurst station yesterday and saw what happened is asked to text BTP on 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 364 of 10/08."

BTP added there were "no injuries caused as a result of a noxious substance," after reports online suggested acid may have been used during the fight.
