Forensic police officers have spent the morning searching the house of a missing mum.

Alexandra Morgan, of The Common, between Sissinghurst and Cranbrook, disappeared on November 14 and a man has been charged with her murder.

Dozens of officers in white overalls were seen going in and out of the home, which is just metres away from the Shell garage, where she was last seen on Remembrance Sunday.

Around five unmarked police cars, as well as a patrol car, were parked outside the house at around 11.30am on the main road.

Police stood and talked for a couple of minutes at the end of the drive, where a single bouquet of flowers has been laid, before entering the house.

Ms Morgan's white Mini Cooper which she filled up with petrol at the nearby garage has been found, police confirmed earlier this week.

Mark Brown, 40, of Squirrel Close, St-Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, was charged on Sunday with her murder.

On Tuesday, Brown appeared at Lewes Crown Court, and was remanded to appear before the court in February.

Alexandra was last seen at the petrol station at 7.20am on Sunday, November 14, and has not been in contact with her family since.

Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate began leading on efforts to find Alexandra and last week launched a murder investigation.

Inquiries to locate Alexandra’s body remain ongoing with searches continuing with support from Sussex Police in several locations in Kent and Sussex.
