Lamberhurst: Man dies after crash on A21

A man has died after his car hit a tree on the A21.
Police confirmed the casualty, who is in his 30s and from the Tunbridge Wells area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was driving a silver Seat Alhambra when it left the London-bound carriageway near the junction with the A268 Hawkhurst Road at 1.45pm.
The road between Flimwell and Lamberhurst was closed in both directions while emergency services responded.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it had sent two fire appliances to the scene, which were joined by three from East Sussex Fire and Rescue.
Motorists were advised to use alternative routes, and there are still long delays in the area.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
