Southeastern trains delayed between Maidstone and Strood due to a landslip

A landslip caused disruption to passengers heading back to work after the long weekend today.
The line between Maidstone and Strood has now reopened after the slip caused a tree to block the line.
Network Rail engineers were called to the incident in Cuxton, which happened around 10.30am.
Replacement buses were in place but the line has now been cleared and services are returning to normal.
Shortly after the landslip, Southeastern reported flooding on the line at Barming station is adding to delays.
Meanwhile, services between Headcorn and Paddock Wood are delayed after a tree had to be moved from the line.
Operator Southeastern warned passengers of cancellations, delays and diversions due to an earlier faulty train and tree on the line at Paddock Wood and earlier signalling problems at Headcorn.
Trains on the Paddock Wood line between Ashford International and London Charing Cross are being diverted via Maidstone East.
Passengers at Marden and Staplehurst railway stations are also been advised to check before they travel.
Southern services between Tonbridge and Redhill are also disrupted due to a tree blocking the line.
Earlier, services between Maidstone East and London Victoria were disrupted, also because of a tree on the line. A weather warning is in place across the county until midday.
