Police investigating 'murder' of Roy Blackman arrest seventh man in Tenterden

Police investigating the violent death of a pensioner at his home near Biddenden have arrested a seventh man.

The 52-year-old was stopped on the A28 Tenterden last night and was taken into custody on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has since been bailed until Wednesday, June 15.

The arrest followed an earlier raid on a property in Grange Road, St Michael's, near Tenterden.

Roy Blackman was bludgeoned to death

Officers descended on the address yesterday afternoon and were supported by a helicopter and armed police.

VIDEO: Police descended on a house in St Michaels.

No arrests were made at the time and police left the scene at 7pm.
