Fire crews attended and put it down to a "chemical issue".

The store reopened on Wednesday evening.

A Tesco spokesman said: "We’re pleased to confirm our Sidcup superstore is open as usual after a brief closure on Wednesday night and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by the closure at the time."
