Two men who were arrested after a woman was attacked with a metal bar have been released by police.

The victim, in her 30s, was reportedly assaulted in Park Wood Lane, Staplehurst, at around 6.45pm, last night.

She was taken to hospital as a result with injuries described as not life threatening.

After being assisted by the police helicopter, two men, in theirs 30s and 50s, were arrested on suspicion of assault.

They have since been released on bail until until Friday,November 18.

Officers seized a metal bar and knuckledusters following the arrest.
