Two Maidstone men will be sentenced for burgling a Paddock Wood post office.

Daniel Pope, of Wrangleden Road, and William Marney, 38, of Wallis Avenue will appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 1, for sentencing after pleading guilty to stealing more than £1,000 of goods from Martin’s newsagents.

The Park Wood pair, who previously denied their involvement in the crime and have been released on unconditional bail, broke into the Commercial Road store in May and took £1,083 of cigarettes.

The pair appeared at Maidstone Magistrates' Court

Thirty-five-year-old Pope also admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance on the same day.

Lauren Gilbert, 20, of Bishops Close, Nettlestead, and James Stephens, 23, of Maldon in Essex, also appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with burglary and were found not guilty.
