Teenager airlifted to Kings College Hospital after horse accident at Benenden

A teenager has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after being thrown from a horse at Benenden.

The 19-year-old woman suffered injuries to her stomach and upper arm during the incident just off Goddards Green Road in the village near Tenterden.

An air ambulance, paramedics and the hazardous area response team - which assists in such difficult-to-reach scenarios - attended the scene just after 1pm yesterday.

The casualty was treated at the scene before being flow to Kings College Hospital in London.

Her condition is unknown.
