A car has flipped onto its roof after a crash at a roundabout outside Sainsbury’s supermarket.
Emergency services are at the scene in Station Road, Staplehurst, this afternoon, after the collision, which blocked traffic for a while.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene at around 1.50pm while a driver was rescued from the car.
The A229 Station Road, which is close to Staplehurst railway station, remains partially blocked and people are being told to expect delays.
One witness at the scene said a woman was pulled from the car and appeared to shaken up, but okay.
A police spokesman said: “Two cars were involved, and officers and SECAmb attended.
“No serious injuries to anyone. Police have now left the scene.”
One man who works nearby said the collision wasn’t a shock and was “always going to happen” with some of the driving in the area.
Another woman commented: “It’s the driving that is dangerous, but the roundabout needs some improvements definitely.”
While a third person said: “Was only a matter of time before this happened sadly. Hope all involved are ok but something needs to be done about this roundabout and speeding in general in the village.”
A fire service spokesman added: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called at 1.52pm to Station Road, Staplehurst to reports of a crash involving two cars.
“Three fire engines attended, and crews helped one person out of a vehicle.
“One person was passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics.”
