A man was taken to hospital after his car overturned in a village high street.
The accident happened at about 6.45pm yesterday in Headcorn after a collision with another vehicle.
Three fire engines attended and crews had to first stabilize the vehicle, which was resting on its roof, before helping to release the elderly driver.
The road was closed during the operation but was reopened later after fire crews moved the vehicle off the road.
They were able to leave the scene at 7.30pm.
The driver’s injuries were said not to be life-threatening.
