The family of a pensioner who was bludgeoned to death in his own home are inviting those who knew him to share their memories in a special book.
Roy Blackman, 73, was found dead at his home in Headcorn Road, Biddenden, on Monday, March 21, the victim of a violent burglary.
A mustard-coloured safe, which is said to be 5ft high and 1.5ft wide, was taken from the property opposite Chart Hills Golf Club.
In the weeks after his death, Mr Blackman's family released an emotional tribute to him.
They have now invited anyone who knew him to write in a dedicated memory book which will be located in Biddenden Church, in the High Street, until Saturday, May 7.
It will then move to the West End House Gallery in Smarden until Saturday, May 21.
In a statement Mr Blackman's family said: "We invite everyone who knew Roy, old and new, to write something in the book and share any special memories of him.
"You are also welcome to include any photos you may have, a glue stick has been provided.
"The book will also be at the funeral and wake. We anticipate Roy's funeral to be able to take place in Smarden Church at the beginning of June.
"Thank you to everyone who has already sent cards and flowers to us. We are overwhelmed by everyone's kind words and generosity at this very difficult time."
Mr Blackman was well-known in the area having run several businesses including a garage.
A post-mortem examination carried out revealed the father-of-three died as a result of multiple injuries caused by blunt force trauma.
So far detectives have arrested six people in connection with the suspected murder, one of whom was charged earlier this month.
Mark Love, 37 of Frittenden Road, Staplehurst was charged with murder and aggravated burglary.
He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, May 6.
The other five suspects, also arrested on suspicion of murder, have been bailed.
Detectives are still working to trace a group of workmen seen near Mr Blackman's home in the hours before his death.
