A WOMAN died after the car she was travelling in crashed into a ditch at the weekend.

The accident took place at 10.30pm on Sunday at Morleys Road, Weald, near Sevenoaks.

The woman was a passenger in the back of a red Renault Laguna when it left the road. A woman driving the car and another male passenger were not injured.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The road was closed until just before 2am on Monday while emergency services, including Kent Police's serious collision investigation unit, attended the incident and carried out investigations.
