Former teacher at Holmewood House Prep School in Langton Green, near Tunbridge Wells appears in court over historic sexual abuse allegations

A former teacher has appeared in court charged with indecent assault and gross indecency with a child at a Kent school.

The offences, which are reported to have happened between 1979 and 1985, concern alleged victims who were pupils at Holmewood House Prep School in Langton Green, near Tunbridge Wells.

In May this year, Neil Scott, of Bucklers Lane, St Austell, Cornwall, was charged with four counts of indecent assault and five counts of gross indecency with a child.

Yesterday (June 11) the 75-year-old appeared via video link before Maidstone Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The former mathematics teacher was bailed until a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on July 9.

He who worked at the private primary school from 1975 to 1985.

Police are still appealing for information.
