A two-storey home and workshop were razed this evening after fire engulfed the properties in Headcorn.
Both buildings were well alight when crews were called at around 7.15pm.
Firefighters used compressed air foam and hose reels to tackle the blaze, and even resorted to pumping water from a nearby pond, but were unable to save the property.
It is not yet known what caused the inferno which had engulfed the house and workshop in Love Lane, though no injuries were reported.
Firefighters fought hard to prevent the blaze, which was well alight by the time they arrived, from spreading to neighbouring properties.
