A man has been charged by officers investigating a spate of offences across three towns.
These include the theft of two cars, a Hyundai and a Nissan, as well as high value items taken from parked cars in Staplehurst, Cranbrook and Paddock Wood.
The incidents happened between Monday, April 17, and Sunday, April 23.
The stolen Hyundai was eventually recovered by officers in Staplehurst on Sunday.
On the same day, James Vincent, of no fixed address, was arrested and taken into custody.
The 42-year-old was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft, two counts of possessing criminal property and three counts of fraud by false representation relating to the use of stolen bank cards.
He was further charged with shoplifting, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
Vincent appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.
His next hearing will take place on Thursday, April 27, at the same court.
