A man has been charged after several teenagers were reportedly threatened with a machete.
Cameron Jeffery, from Hawkhurst, was arrested after a series of robberies in the last few weeks.
Offences including knifepoint robberies, the theft of a car stolen following a test drive, and threats to stab teenage victims with a machete reportedly took place.
On August 4, separate robberies took place in Cranbrook High Street and in Headcorn Road, Staplehurst.
During each two men armed with weapons and with their faces covered allegedly demanded valuables from their victims.
Jeffery was arrested during the early hours of August 6 and several suspected stolen items were seized.
He was charged with multiple counts of robbery and possessing a knife in a public place.
The 21-year-old was also charged with stealing a car advertised for sale from an address in Cranbrook on July 9.
He allegedly failed to return the vehicle after a test drive and the car was later found abandoned after a collision.
On August 8, Jeffery, of Vale Road, appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court and was remanded in custody.
His next hearing will be at Maidstone Crown Court on September 6.
