A moped rider was flown to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Staplehurst.

His vehicle was involved in a collision with a car in Sherenden Lane at 11.30am on Saturday.

Police, ambulance crews and the air ambulance were called to the crash scene.

A police spokesman said: "The moped rider, a man, was subsequently airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries."
