A man in his 90s escaped from a bungalow fire this morning caused by a heater.

Fire crews were called to Lovers Lane, Goudhurst, at around 9am to reports of a small fire in the lounge of a home.

The man, in his early 90s, was outside his property when crews arrived. The fire is believed to have started in a storage heater and crews used a special fan to clear the smoke.
