Police have launched an investigation after a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted near some playing fields.

A cordon has been put in place at the scene of the investigation in Putlands Field, Paddock Wood, as officers carry out their inquiries.

The sexual assault is thought to have happened in the last couple of weeks.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault on a woman reported to have taken place within the last couple of weeks in Paddock Wood and inquiries are on-going."
