A resident has set up a petition to shut down a new Coral bookmakers in town.
The petition, 'Get rid of the Coral betting shop' was started by local homeowner, Charlie Tomlinson, and aims to shut the bookies in Cranbrook High Street down.
Since starting on Monday June 30 on Change.org, it has gained 235 supporters and a huge cache of comments.
Charlie, of Waterloo Road, said in her petition statement: "It is simply astounding how a ghastly betting shop managed to get a licence.
"Its garish blue facade is completely at odds with the rest of the High Street and not in fitting with the pretty town you would have thought the council is keen to protect."
It also claims the shop has increased the amount of underage drinking and gambling.
Charlie added: "It's always bothered me ever since it was opened a few weeks ago.
"I started noticing a lot more young groups hanging around the store and heard a few complaints from other people I spoke to it about."
"I literally only told five people when I started the petition and through the power of Facebook it completely took off" - Charlie Tomlinson
The mum-of-one has addressed Tunbridge Wells councillors and received huge support from local residents on the petition page.
She has made a plea to councillors on behalf of Cranbrook locals to look ito the licensing and lease of this betting shop.
She said: "I literally only told five people when I started the petition and through the power of Facebook it completely took off.
"I'm so pleased other people feel the same way and hope the council see our concerns.
"I've been amazed by the amount of comments received, and have been taking note of all the complaints."
