A former chiropractors and natural health clinic could reopen as a children’s pre-school.
The Headcorn Natural Health Centre closed in May when its owners retired.
Audra Uikiene is keen to reopen the building at 1&2 Franks Bridge Cottages, Smarden Road, in Headcorn, as a pre-school.
She has applied to add a second storey to a single-storey extension which has already been granted planning permission.
Once built the extension would enable the building – now one property created from two former cottages – to be subdivided into six classrooms, a kitchen office and toilets.
There is parking for six cars.
The extension would be timber-framed with fire retardant cladding, with a flat roof.
The property is within a Zone 3 flood risk area, meaning there is a high risk of flooding.
Details of the application can be viewed here.
