Gary Danielz is living in fear.
Eighteen months ago the ditch behind his home in Staplehurst that takes surface water away to the River Beult flooded.
The result was 6ins of flood-water throughout his home in Fishers Road, ruining carpets and furniture and resulting in a £50,000 insurance claim, and the consequent ramp-up in insurance payments for himself.
This morning as he went to leave for work, he found the ditch had flooded again.
He said: "There was water 4ins deep throughout may garage and it was within half an inch of coming in my home again."
Mr Danielz is fed up.
He said: "I had everyone out last time: the Environment Agency, KCC Highways, Maidstone council. But everyone passed the back; no-one wants to take ownership.
"Now it's almost happened again for the second time in 18 months."
He's going through the routine of calling all the agencies again.
Mr Danielz said he felt the blame lay with new housing development in the village.
He said: "There's a new development at Fishers Farm at the bottom of my road.
"It seems the waterways can't cope with all the extra run-off."
