A woman was taken to hospital with neck injuries after a car crash in Hawkhurst yesterday morning.

A red Ford Ka and silver Mercedes were involved in the collision in the rural village just before 8am.

One female driver reported hand and neck pain and was taken to a hospital in Hastings following the incident which happened on Delmonden Lane in the rural village, although her injuries are not thought to be serious.

Kent Police, South East Coast Ambulance Service as well as both Kent and East Sussex Fire and Rescue crews attended the incident with the road cleared by 10am.
