Emergency services were called to the scene, in Cranbrook Road, shortly before midnight.
A man, reportedly in his 30s, and a woman, said to be in her late 40s, were trapped in the two vehicles involved and both had to be cut free by fire crews.
Representatives from Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) got the call at 11.45pm and used hydraulic equipment to cut the two people free - and spent over an hour making the scene safe.
The casualties were then passed onto the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service, who sent a total of four ambulances to the scene.
Both were taken to The Tunbridge Wells Hospital, at Pembury, as priority patients.
The male patient was treated for back and abdomen pain, and the female for hand and chest injuries, they were both fully conscious.
