People living in a Weald village have been warned they will be without their post office for a while.
Goudhurst Post Office in the High Street is shutting temporarily for refurbishment.
It will close on Thursday, February 20, at 5.30pm.
It is thought the work will take approximately a month to complete. The building is scheduled to re-open on Wednesday, March 5, at 9am.
In the meantime, customers can use Cranbrook Post Office at 54 High Street, Cranbrook; Sissinghurst Post Office in The Street, Sissinghurst; or Horsmonden Outreach Service at The Heath Stores, The Heath, Horsmonden.
Noah Rai is the Post Office’s area change manager. He said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work.
“The safety of our customers is paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it is necessary for the service to close temporarily.”
