A man was knocked unconscious by two others who attacked him in the car park at a Sainsbury's Local.
The attack happened at the supermarket in Headcorn High Street, at around 12.40pm on Monday, February 15, but police are only just now issuing an appeal for witnesses.
The victim, who is in his 40s, was taken to hospital with a head injury.
Investigating officer PC Carl Johnson said: "The car park was busy at the time and we are appealing for witnesses to contact the appeal line.
"We are also asking any motorists with dashcams who were in the area and residents with doorbell cameras to check for footage that may assist the investigation."
At the weekend, there was another assault in Headcorn when one man was stabbed in the arm and another hit with a car in Martin Gardens, off Lenham Road, on Saturday night.
