Police are keen to track down a driver after a woman was injured in a head-on crash last night.

The woman in her 40s was cut free from the wreckage of her car following the crash in Sissinghurst last night.

The victim was left trapped in her vehicle following the accident in Sissinghurst Road just before 6pm.

Firefighters stabilised the vehicles and helped to create space for paramedics to assess the casualty before assisting with her removal on a spinal longboard to a waiting ambulance.

She suffered leg injuries and was taken to hospital.

The driver of the second vehicle is believed to have left the scene, and police have launched an investigation to find them.
