A young woman had to be cut out of her car following a crash in Hawkhurst.

Firefighters were called to Cranbrook Road, Hawkhurst shortly before 6pm yesterday and found her trapped inside.

They spent half an hour releasing the door and making the scene safe.

After the patient, thought to be in her 20s, was freed she was passed into the care of paramedics.

No other vehicles were involved.
