Follow the route of the Saxons along the Saxon Shoreway, see boatyards and Marinas, war forts and military test sites. Walk past small fishing communities, and interesting industrial areas such as the papermills in Swale. See the diverse Flora, fauna, and wildlife from birds to small mammals and if you are lucky, you may even spot a seal.

All walks in this series will be once a month on a Saturday. All routes will start and finish at a train station and suggested train times (as they are advertised at the time of writing) will be provided.

All walks will include a halfway lunch stop.

Our sixth walk will take us from Gillingham Train Station, following foothpath towards Historic Dockyard and St Mary’s Island. Saxon Shore Way will then take us through Rochester Bridge, continuing past Upnor Castle and more inland towards Higham Station.
