Heritage Open Day: University of Greenwich Medway

Uncover 120 years of history to find out how a Royal Naval Barracks became a modern university. Join us to step back in time to 1903 to see what it was like and discover the secrets of Medway Campus.
This is your chance to uncover the history of this stunning site in Chatham and explore restricted parts of the university campus.

During the visit you can join us in our talk to discover the history of the Medway Campus and its significance in the Medway region. Learn how the site has transformed over the years and about the royal visitors it has received.

You can also visit our past in the Pictures Gallery, step back in time in the Drill Hall Library to view the exhibits from the Drill Shed and the Royal Naval Association memorial and share facts and stories with staff and visitors over light refreshments.

For one day only these buildings will be open to the public, so book now for your unique opportunity to explore and celebrate 120 years of Medway heritage.
