There has been a church in Seasalter for more than 1,000 years. The first church is thought to have been built in Anglo Saxon times on what is now the shoreline by the Oyster Pearl Pub. The present Old Church of St Alphege, Seasalter is the chancel of the twelfth century church that was built further inland. The current congregation now also worship in Seasalter Christian Centre and are working together to prepare for the next 1,000 years at the heart of the community.
