Arit Anderson: Nature as Nurture - Can Gardens Heal the World?

Award-winning garden designer and TV presenter Arit Anderson leads a talk at Sissinghurst Castle Garden on why gardens are essential for our health - physically, mentally, and spiritually.
As we continue to live in a fast-paced world driven by technology and commerce, we are increasingly facing a nature deficit as we disconnect from the natural rhythms of the world.

How can we adapt and regenerate ourselves in this new era?

Our public and community gardens can be the life and soul of towns and cities, places to nurture people as well as plants.

This talk and Q&A by Arit Anderson will explore why gardens are essential for our health—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Arit is a landscape designer, writer, and TV presenter, regularly seen on BBC Gardeners’ World.

She is an ambassador for the RHS Planet-Friendly Gardening Campaign and community gardening, and a Trustee for the National Garden Scheme, which raises funds for nursing and health charities.
