Churchill’s Champagne Christmas at Chartwell

From Christmas markets to live carol music, and wreath-making workshops to a festive family garden trail, plus the lavishly decorated house to explore, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
In honour of Sir Winston Churchill's 150th birthday, celebrate a Champagne Christmas at Chartwell. Travel back in time to the sparkling 1930s festive season, with golden garlands, twinkling lights and a crackling winter fire. Feast your eyes on a very special birthday cake, and venture upstairs for a glimpse of how Lady Clementine Churchill prepared for the Christmas season. Chat to our room guides for tales of Chartwell Christmases gone by, as festive music merges with the delicate clinking of champagne flutes.

Plus, Chartwell Christmas Fair has locally made crafts, art, accessories, food and drink, all from undercover stalls from 14 to 17 November.

Join local bands for traditional carols in the crisp outdoors on 16 Nov, 1, 7, and 21 Dec (see website for times, free with admission).

And, pick up a free kids' spotter trail in the house for the festive family trail. In the gardens, search for the stamping stations and decorate your Christmas tree.
