The theme of the natural world, the main source and ongoing inspiration for Maggie O'Driscoll Large's art, as well as a personal response to her surroundings.

“Art is about exploring, creating your own language," explains the artist. "I think in pictures, therefore I write in pictures. I’m attracted to wide open unexplored spaces and unspoilt wild areas and am sensitive to other people and my surroundings. When you have that awareness, you can make pictures from words."
