Wonky Plonky Electronk Fest

Wonky Plonky Electronk is a night for an uncompromising sonic meltdown of experimental, noise, and ambient electronic music, featuring an eclectic mix experimental artists.
On the 9th November 2024, The Gulbenkian will come alive with the uncompromising cutting-edge sounds of a Wonky Plonky Electronk takeover.

Running from 6:30pm, the festival is filling two stages, featuring an eclectic mix of both emerging and established experimental artists. Hosted by the nonconformist, independent label Street Records, this exciting one-day festival promises an electrifying sonic journey through the worlds of experimental, noise, and ambient electronic music.

Headliners include the ambient outliers Space Afrika; described as inner city ambient for chaotic living by Crack Magazine, Space Afrika are bringing their uniquely spacious urbandubscapes to the main stage. Earlier in the evening, the main stage will be flooded by the bold tones of radically nonconformist Japanese multi-instrumentalist Mieko Shimizu, the ebullient soundscapes of Flywheel, noise-bass guerilla and founder of Asian-DubFoundation. Coastal Electronauts Collective are filling the second stage!
