Noam Munro directs the second chapter in the action-packed 300 saga, based on Frank Miller's graphic novel Xerxes.

Artemesia (Eva Green), vengeful commander of the Persian navy, and mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) marshal their forces for an assault on a fractured and wounded Greece, which is still reeling from the noble death in battle of King Leonidas (Gerard Butler).

The Persians take the battle to sea.

Meanwhile, Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) attempts to unite his country by leading the charge that will change the course of the conflict, aided by fellow soldier Aeskylos (Hans Matheson) and Spartan Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey), whose husband Leonidas fell during the fierce and bloody Battle of Thermopylae, which was chronicled in the first film.
