Some incredible music is coming to the Kent coast this summer and, next up, it's the turn of Scottish band Simple Minds.

The group, who are best known for the Breakfast Club hit Don't You (Forget About Me), will be performing an outdoor set at Dreamland in Margate.

It’s part of this year’s Margate Summer Series, a string of open-air concerts from huge artists running at the vintage fairground until September.

The two-time BRIT nominees formed in Glasgow in 1977 and achieved three No. 1 albums in the 1980s.

Their singles, including Alive and Kicking, Belfast Child and Let There Be Love, saw the band become household name both in the UK and America.

Simple Minds, who are at Dreamand on Thursday, June 20, will be joined by alt-rock band Del Amitri as part of their latest tour.

In the same week, multi-million-selling artist Craig David will be performing on the Scenic Stage.

After breaking into the UK garage scene in 1999 with his guest spot on Artful Dodger's single Re-Rewind, the Grammy-nominated singer has racked up nine UK Top 40 albums.

He will be throwing his TS5 party, which originated in Ibiza and then became a radio show on Capital Xtra, with non-stop DJing and a performance of his biggest hits, including Walking Away, 7 Days and What’s Your Flava.

Singer and former Love Island contestant Wes Nelson will be warming up the crowd ahead of Craig David’s headline set, which takes place on Friday, June 21.

Wrapping up the weekend is the Margate Reggae Festival, which comes to Dreamland the following day, on Saturday, June 22.

The one-day festival will see some of the country’s best-known reggae musicians take to the stage.

Julian Marley and the Uprising, Aswad, The Skint, Desmond Dekkers Aces, The Beat and more are all set to perform.
